With love for plants, people and earth I founded Little Stone Remedies in 2010. I grew up in San Francisco and have spent most of my adult life in the mountains of Wyoming, Montana, Nevada, and for the past 20 years, in the Yosemite area of California. I am a passionate student who has learned from many wonderful teachers, both formal and informal. I earned a degree in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington, and learned the ways of herbs at the Sierra Institute of Herbal Studies in Big Oak Flat, California. My most enduring laboratory has been my kitchen, and my most consistent teachers my family and community and the nature around me.

My work is made easy and fun with the help of my hard-working, humorous, and creative assistant Celeste. Celeste is a high-school junior who shines at soccer, and creates insightful poetry and exquisite drawings. I treasure her curiosity, wisdom and intuition. It is inspiring to witness the next generation embrace the plant medicine!

My teacher in assembling and maintaining this website, is the multi-talented Jim Black of American Photography. Gifted photographer & web man, as well a bottomless fount of ideas and inspiration, he can be found at www.americanphotography.blogspot.com

I wish for every human being to experience the healing beauty of our natural world; and to experience the kind of good medicine that flows through nature's products, such as Little Stone's remedies.
